Complaint Information

Filing an on-line complaint about a business is easy!
 
We'll begin processing your complaint within two business days of its receipt. There are a few things you should know about the BBB's complaint services.
 
First, our primary goal is to bring about a resolution to your complaint, but there are certain types of complaints that the BBB doesn't handle. These include:
 
  • Employee/employer disputes including those involving discrimination claims
  • Complaints against companies in bankruptcy
  • Complaints involving disputes that have been or are being litigated
  • Complaints involving companies that are out of business
  • Anonymous complaints.
 
This BBB handles complaints against companies located in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties . If your complaint is against a business outside of this area, please click here.
 
It usually takes approximate two weeks to process a complaint, depending on how responsive the business is. If the business is not responsive, it may take longer, but we will keep you informed at every step in the process.
 
You can log into our website and follow the progress of your complaint on line. You can also post a rebuttal to the business on the website if you’re not satisfied with their response Log into the BBB complaint portal by clicking on the "Log In" button at the top of the Home Page.
 
Please note that the text of your complaint may be publicly posted on the BBB website. Accordingly, please do not include any personal information in the body of your complaint. If we do find any personal information or inappropriate language in the complaint, it may be removed.
